Winter 2009

Dec
23

Wishing everyone love love love and peace for this year and the next.  There are beautiful days and nights ahead…

After a very busy summer, we decided to enjoy the changing of the seasons with close knit homestyle jams, lots of cooking and friends.  A few lovely evenings playing with DJ ActivePhaze, a jam with Itamar Zorman for Tigers and Poets documentary.  And the celebration of Peter Principle’s bday at 23 Windows which took us to the early morning.  And after the home jams, we couldn’t resist, playing with our favorite Lose Your Shit party with the lovely DJ Small Change, Jen Lyon and our Mean Red friends.

The winter continues, and it is off to tropical weather, inspirations from the other side of the planet.

Our gratitude goes out to all who have come into our lives and shared in these days.  Looking forward to a lovely, mischievous, and soulful 2010.

Tigers and Poets Documentary

In a welcome turn of events, we were visited by Detail Film - a production company from Germany creating “Tigers and Poets,” a documentary on three exceptional violinists. They came by to visit us to film an audiovisual dialogue and collaboration with one of their musical subjects Itamar Zorman. What resulted was a very wonderful dialogue with Lady Firefly, as well as a very meaningful artistic exchange at Union Pool in Brooklyn between Itamar and our VJs. (Nov 2009)
