The stars have aligned in this young decade to bring us a day of simultaneous love, truth and sincerity. A night of martyrs and miracles paired with virtue and prosperity that both share roots in the the color RED. The strongest hue in every culture, it runs through our hearts and insights our passions.

This night promises to do the same, Delight in a sumptuous meal while firey demons and airborne dieties act out myths and traditions above and all around you. A decadent feast for your eyes and stomach will unravel at your table, satisfying your appetite through every single sense. Summer in Russia 2009

Sep
22

We have just returned from Russia, which seems to be a natural close to this summer’s adventures. We took our visuals to the deep country fields and forests of Raminhutte, a gorgeous secret place at the border of Lithuania. With healthy doses of Pentacrene and the hospitality of our good friend Victor, it was a MadFlat Reunion where we played all night in a rustic nightclub in the middle of nowhere and under the stars.

After an amazing time in the forests and more exploring, we unloaded our gear into Platinum, one of Kaliningrad’s popular nightclubs for the White Party. With everyone glowing violet under the black lights, this was a fun time.

Share Camp Summer 2009

The summer also wouldn’t have been complete without the always welcome outdoor Share Camp. Share NYC went upstate this year and spent a long weekend under the stars. We jammed until the morning and swam in rivers and lay in fields…

Kaleidescope 2: Pinwheel Edition

Jul

…and found ourselves a part of Kaleidescope 2: Pinwheel Edition. A traveling outdoor event, somewhat an urban carnival of performers, musicians, fire dancers, hula hoopers etc. VisualHornHonkinG and Lady Firefly set up a live video installation in the heart of Brooklyn Bridge Park in DUMBO. Installing under the radar, we set up our gear right on the rocks beside the East River, a beautiful view of the city in front of us as we projected two projections inspired by playful pinwheels throughout the night.

Silent Disco at BKLYN YARD

May
19

The beginning of our summer came with the arrival of our good friend VJ Yuri Elik, and YGO music project of Aleksei Pliousnine and Tanja Svaha. And started with the Silent Disco at BKLYN Yard with DJ Zemi17 delivering diverse dance sounds live via FM radio transmission directly to radio headphones. With two projections, VJs VisualHornHonkinG, Yuri Elik, and Lady Firefly created visuals through the nite. Also celebrated with fire dancers, hoopers, and other fun surprises!

We spent much time creating works together, and spent magical moments at 23 Windows with Dok Gregory and Peter Principle of Zero Gravity Thinkers, and Zemi17. I haven’t even gotten through half the stuff we recorded, but there are definitely a few recordings I will post here, some from a show we did at 23 Windows as well as the night under the Brooklyn Bridge. That will come very soon here…
